This week was the maternity newborn adaptive ATI test. My goals were to try and work on silly mistakes, as well as implementing proper answer elimination strategies. I felt as though I had very minimal “silly” mistakes this week. This allowed me to feel more confident in my answering. I also felt this week that I was able to narrow down my choices adequately whereas in the older exams, especially the pharmacology ones, I was working with four options each.

In the future, I would like to improve upon my rereading of the question. I still find myself glossing over some key points of the question and I feel as if I review the question properly another time it will allow me pick up on that key piece. I also hope to stay in the proper 1-minute per question range as it will help me with my exam progression going forward. For the last pharmacology exam, I went much faster than I intended to and it reflected poorly in my results so I would like to avoid that in the future.
